What It Means by Mentorship Is to Challenge Your Thought process

I am always intrigued by the term “Mentorship”. I always relate Mentorship as a power word associated with “Growth” and “Productivity”.

I was partly mistaken as to its not what I expected as “Learn and take others’ experiences as mine”.

Turns out it's all about perspective.

The only Pre-requisites required, Empathy and Humility

Towards being a mentor or mentee, it's never about whos better or worse. It's about whos able to “communicate properly” and “be on the same page”.

Empathy and Humility are the keys to getting aligned with others.

Imagine a heated conversation. What are your thoughts going on,

  1. Rather than arguing with others on the facts of the arguments, try to think of the emotional triggers behind them.
  2. What do you want to get out of this conversation?
