Given the social movement happening in 2019. And following up with the “Vigorous” measures for COVID in Hong Kong. There is a clear high trend of emigration. People start to second-think if they would like to continue their career/network building in Hong Kong as before.

The Giants are Leaving

Statistics show that Expats are leaving, and international companies are putting Singapore as a better Asia office than Hong Kong.

Factors like these never strike Hong Kong in my life. And at the same time, I started my job searching recently. There are interviews that inspire me and put extra thought into my next career chapter.

  1. Where do I want to be in?
  2. What culture do I want to work in?
  3. How should I equip myself?

I have breakdown my thoughts been going through my job searching in the article. So, stay a while and listen!

Before everything starts

I was just as lost as everyone who quit a job. I search for jobs with the experience I had and look for the best package possible.

I am fortunate enough to get openings from various places. Some of them inspire me of choosing the “right” decision for my pursual of lifestyle.

To summarize, here are 4 offers given to me (In Chronological Order),

  1. The Well-off Typical Job
    A Project Manager position in a Hong Kong well-established corporate. A “9 by 5” job and almost no OT time and yet not a lot of things happening in the corporate.
    — It provides a REALLY market competitive package.
  2. The Down to Earth Job
